With a foundation in engineering, Ron's career has spanned more than 40 years of technical sales, marketing of technology products and corporate management. Industries served include metal cutting and forming, quality, automation and controls, manufacturing software and more. He has worked in all facets of the manufacturing supply chain, from distributor to direct sales, product marketing for OEMs, manufacturing and general management of several companies, including: * President of Hornet Tool Co., Traverse City, MI - a manufacturer of specialty round cutting tools primarily for the automotive industry. (Five years) * COO of DEA, Inc., Livonia, MI - One of the first and largest Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) manufacturers - now part of Hexagon Metrology. (13 years) * CEO of G. Temple Associates, Ltd., Wixom, MI - A leading marketing communications agency serving the manufacturing technology sector. (15 years) Through numerous client relationships, Ron has been active with the Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT) for two-and-a-half decades. He served on the Economics and Statistics Committee, which presents its Manufacturing Forecasting Conference each fall and provided editorial content for their member publications, AMT News and AMT Online. He has been writing about industry, technology and innovations for more than half of his working life. |
